I was shocked when I discovered that drinking and smoking is more dangerous than smoking marijuana. After doing research I stumbled upon government research stating that a person will have to smoke approximately 1,500 pounds of marijuana in 15 minutes in order to overdose. So what does 1,500 pounds look like?

For Overdose, a huge 8 foot pile of trimmed grass and weeds stands in the middle of a walkway. The viewer sees the pile and gets closer and reads the title and the labels on the floor leading the person around the piece. These people then become part of the piece so other people can compare the scale relationship between the pile and the person's height. Since the piece is for an older audience, I don't want to compare marijuana to another abusive drug, so I compared it to the lethal dose of aspirin. And the comparison is shocking, it only takes 8-12 pills of aspirin to kill you compared to ridiculous amount of marijuana the person will have to smoke.
